ACUPUNCTURE

We can help you reach your health & wellness goals

Acupuncture is a fundamental practice in traditional Chinese medicine which involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to promote healing and alleviate various health conditions.

Acupuncture can help alleviate symptoms of arthritis, sciatica, back pain, bursitis and neuropathy, digestion, hormonal health and stress among many other conditions.

The technique involves inserting thin, disposable needles into specific acupuncture points throughout the body. The needles may be manipulated by the hands or by an electrical stimulation. Most people find acupuncture relaxing and experience minimal discomfort.

PERSONALIZED CARE AND TREATMENT PLANS

During an appointment with Janet Lo or Rose Ryan, you can expect comprehensive evaluations that merge the principles of traditional Chinese medicine with contemporary practices to address a wide range of health concerns.

Janet Lo combines traditional Chinese medicine diagnostics with modern neurological assessments. This integrative approach assists in developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Her acupuncture sessions are designed to be comfortable and relaxing, focusing on both the physical and energetic aspects of health. In the context of neurological disorders, her treatments aim to stimulate the nervous system, enhance blood circulation, and modulate neurotransmitter activity, potentially aiding in managing symptoms of conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and post-stroke rehabilitation. Janet emphasizes open communication during sessions to ensure optimal outcomes for your health and well-being.

Rose Ryan predominantly practices distal-style acupuncture based on the traditions of Richard Teh-Fu Tan and Master Tung. This style is particularly effective for treating musculoskeletal, digestive, gynecological, and hormonal issues while also playing a role in regulating the nervous system, improving mood, reducing stress, and optimizing sleep. Rose's passion is centered around enhancing the quality of life for her clients through acupuncture, as well as empowering them with valuable Traditional Chinese Medicine lifestyle practices.

Both Janet and Rose offer a holistic approach that addresses various health concerns by considering the physical, emotional, and energetic aspects of well-being, ensuring a comprehensive care experience for each individual.

MEET ROSE RYAN

Registered Acupuncturist

Languages: English and German

Rose has been keenly interested in health since her teenage years, drawn to natural remedies. A family friend introduced her to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practices, and several years later, she sought out acupuncture treatment for a chronic condition.

When she experienced how TCM views the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—it resonated with her. This led her to study at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ICTCM) in Vancouver, where she graduated from a five-year Doctor of TCM program. She immersed herself in this profound system, learning about the body's incredible ability to return to balance and health.

Rose predominantly practices distal-style acupuncture based on the traditions of Richard Teh-Fu Tan and Master Tung. This approach is effective for treating musculoskeletal, digestive, gynecological, and hormonal issues, regulating the nervous system, improving mood, reducing stress, and optimizing sleep.

Her passion lies in helping people enhance their quality of life through acupuncture while empowering them with the wisdom TCM lifestyle practices offer.

You can find her adventuring in nature with her family, reading a good book, or trying new recipes in her free time.
